The 15-day cyber-attack has compromised the details of hundreds of thousands of payment cards.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re acting for a number of victims who have been affected by the British Airways data breach. The class action may well widen if the additional victims are verified as affected.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>About the British Airways data breach class action<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The British Airways data breach class action is a legal case for compensation for victims affected by this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataleaklawyers.co.uk\/british-airways-data-breach-compensation-action\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>monumental data breach<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Personal and payment information was compromised in the attack. In an announcement, it&#8217;s believe that customers who made reward bookings between 21<sup>st<\/sup> April 2018 and 28<sup>th<\/sup> July 2018 may also have been affected. If payment cards were used, data may have been exposed.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement about the widening of the data breach, owners of British Airways (IAG) said:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;While British Airways does not have conclusive evidence that the data was removed from its systems, it is taking a prudent approach in notifying potentially affected customers, advising them to contact their bank or card provider as a precaution\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The widening of the British Airways data breach class action will likely not help the damaged reputation of the UK\u2019s biggest airline.
