Although the statistics aren\u2019t surprising, given the number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataleaklawyers.co.uk\/nhs-data-breach-compensation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>NHS data breach compensation claims<\/strong><\/a> we take forward, it\u2019s still worrying; especially when you consider the nature of the information at risk here.<\/p>\n<p>The news about the data revealed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chesterstandard.co.uk\/news\/17837283.countess-chester-hospital-recorded-238-data-breaches-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Chester Standard<\/strong><\/a> reported that, on average, there has been more than four every week during the period reviewed.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>238 Countess of Chester Hospital data breaches <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There were 238 Countess of Chester Hospital data breaches reported during the 2018\/19 period. Unsurprisingly, a lot of them were cases of accidental disclosure, which we see a lot.
