A recent example: The Works<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Whilst we touch on the impact of cyberattacks on the organisations also, it can be useful to look at a real example. One such example that was reported earlier this year involved online and high street retailer The Works.<\/p>\n

When The Works was reportedly hit by a cyberattack, they were forced to close some of their shops temporarily, and it also had to suspend some of its deliveries. Customers of The Works faced delays in being able to shop online as well.<\/p>\n

This all stemmed from what has been reported as a ransomware attack, with The Works confirming that it has already taken steps to increase its security. What this could imply in respect of the state of its security before the attack took place remains open to interpretation.<\/p>\n
