We are a leading, specialist data breach law firm with a dedicated team of lawyers and legal experts who have vowed to fight for the rights of victims of data leaks, data hacks, and breaches of people's privacy and confidentiality.
Thousands of people have come to us for our expert representation and advice over the many years we have been specialising in this niche and complex area of law. As a trusted firm, we are often approached for our insight and we have been in the media a lot in relation to the various actions we are fighting for justice in, as well as for data privacy in general.
Our experience speaks for itself. We have been doing this for a lot longer than many other law firms, having represented a group of Claimants for a Human Rights Act and breach of patient confidentiality incident in 2014, and we launched our first data group action back in 2015; the infamous 56 Dean Street Clinic Leak. At that time, very few law firms were representing people for data cases, but we had a considerable amount of experience in large medical actions, some of which involved privacy and human rights. We started taking cases forward, and we have been at the forefront of data breach compensation claims ever since.
We are now
By order of the High Court of Justice, in October 2019, we were appointed to the Steering Committee of the BA Group Action - the first GDPR Group Litigation Order (GLO) in England and Wales; an action that could lead to an estimated total compensation bill of up to £3.5bn. The Steering Committee is responsible for the overall conduct of the litigation, and it is not our first appointment as a Specialist Consumer Action law firm.
Our work is extremely important. We all have a right to privacy; and our rights when it comes to how our personal data and information is used and handled is enshrined in law. But for too long now organisations have flouted their duties and people have become the victims of widespread scandals where personal information that is sensitive and confidential has been leaked to people who should never have seen it.
These data leaks cause a huge amount of stress and worry and have serious implications on a person's domestic and professional life. In today's digital age there is little we can do to stop the tide of personal data being misused or mishandled, but what we can do is fight for the rights of the victims to claim the compensation they deserve.
Our Promises
We can't turn back the clock - but we can make sure you are fairly compensated as a victim of a data protection or confidentiality breach.
Our promises are simple:
- We vow to fight for the rights of victims whose data has been mishandled or misused
- We pledge to make sure victims are compensated fairly what they have had to go through
- We can fund the claim on our unique no win, no fee basis meaning you pay nothing to us if the claim doesn't succeed
What we do for you!
As specialist Data Leak Lawyers we have experience in fighting for the rights of victims of data leaks, hacks, and breaches. We have access to some of the best barristers and experts in the country and we know the law well.
We can do all of the legwork and we can fight for your rights as a victim to make sure you are fairly compensated for what you have had to go through as the victim of a data breach.
We know the true cost of the damage can be substantial - the effects on your own life, let alone the lives of your family and friends - can be huge.
Don't suffer in silence. We can't turn back the clocks but we can make sure that you receive a fair payout as a victim in efforts for some form of justice to be served.
Only when organisations learn how to properly safeguard data can we feel more secure in today's digital age. Our pledge is to make sure that day comes sooner rather than later!
